I've only ever learned another language when I moved to Ontario from Quebec a while ago. It was really easy to learn English, but a recent turn of events in my life requires me to travel to Germany in about 5 years. Where do/should I start?

Get yourself some schoolbooks, listen to Rammstein and try to chat with German people through ICQ or something. I don't think it's a very difficult language to learn, much easier than French. But German is pretty similar to Dutch, so that helped me in learning the language.

german isnt too tough.. im sure i would be decent at it if i had paid attention in school. actually there are alot of similarities to english as well.

all you have to remember is one simple german phrase, and you'll be fine.
