I'd rather play Pop Cap Games over Playstation Games what's wrong with me?

I remember when I was what they called a "hardcore" gamer (do they even use that term anymore)? I was good for at least 4 games a month depending on the release schedule and as soon as I could afford to own a system I would buy it. I have owned every system short of the Neo Geo. As we speak I have all three systems. But, something has happened I have found myself wanted to beat my high score on Diamond Mine 2 more than I want to be the first in line for RE4.

Anyone have this going on?

Well, there are different gamers, people who want to

Explore worlds ..Mario
Get Items ( Diablo)
Social gamers (quake 3..party games etc)
Highscore freaks.

It seems that you are a highscore freak and can enjoy with Simple /repeatable games.
Well if you like popcap, u like retro too, so put mame on your Xbox or PC and u have a cheap time :D ...it saves u a lot of money.

P.S My Girlfriends plays Dynomite/Zuma for years now ...almost 8 hrs in a week.

i've become obsessed with tetris attack on the super nes - i'm really quite shite at it (max score 2951 so far) but i'm getting better.. hooked on time trial mode :D

edit : my point being, i'm one of the high score freaks :P

I play far more games on my Treo than I do on Playstation.

I play some games to zone out-- and little repetitive games like PlamOS games are just the thing.

I tend to play handheld games much more than consoles even if I have a huge backlog of games for my consoles(which is always).

Sorry if I come off as rude, but I don't get why people think it's "weird" to have specific gaming tastes, some of which aren't "the norm", and then have to ask the whole world for validation. Is it so hard to just like games and leave it at that?

Basically what I would've said. What's even more odd is when people post about "losing interest" in gaming as though it's a horrible crisis.

And, Christ, if you can't recognize that some Pop Cap games are well-made, I'd have to question your taste. :p
