Nintendo please release some game info so this kind of crap can stop.

well, CUBEIGN doesn't have anything better to do since they are still waiting for more details to actually start the Revolution IGN website, and of course, the GameCube system is all but dead with the exception of Zelda.

Yeah, because Fire Emblem, Mario DDR, Mario Strikers, King Kong, James Bond, and so on and so forth just magically disappeared from existence.

somehow i dont think nintendo will release a lightgun ever again...
Hey they get sued every time there is a school shooting anyway.. why not make the most of it? ;)

edit: needs an analog stick on the back, edit2: nm it has one, but the second concept looks uncomfortable, needs more of a rifle stock.

I'd buy that w/ RE5

If RE5 comes to rev that is :(

Don't rag on Matt. GC news is dying and Rev news is barely coming in. Fun article

You know, I really want to be mad at IGN for this (Link smolders with generic rage!), but damned if that isn't cool.

What do you want them to say about the games? Nintendo provides the playable builds, new screens/video, information...

RE5 for Rev??
the controller only lets Capcom make a RE Gun Survivor game for Rev .....

Pistol style gun in one hand, another controller in the other. You look and shoot with the gun (heck can even walk if the analog is there), inventory switch with the other.

they DO talk about these games (and others) almost every day. The only time it seems people give two shits about the site is when they release articles like these.

Wow that would be incredibly cool.

Too bad I don't see Nintendo releasing it.

That looks pretty cool...but uh, it's completely worthless, you know. You can get the exact same control with just the remote control alone. :P

The scale seems way off for a rifle.

If the make the rifle stock and barrel full-sized, and then mount the remote like a scope ... that'd be pretty hot.

How would one accurately site and balance a remote control? Plus, pressing a button is not very natural for firing ... it would certainly move your aim off the target at least a bit when pressed, and A LOT after you fire.

But you would be holding it differently, which totally changes the experience.

Wouldn't you want the remote part of the controller underneath instead of on top so that you can reload the gun like a real shotgun by shifting the remote part back and forward?

crap, i wonder if Nin has even considered something like this?

I doubt it. It would be fine for lightgun games that are maybe an hour long with breaks every couple of minuets but with a FPS your arm would get tired real quick.

If it was real, and pump action, id turn in my Xbot coat so fast it would be treated as a suspect package and be destroyed in a controlled explosion.

Please IGNCube, stop making fakes. If you cannot understand how versatile can be the controller isn´t our problem.

analog stick on gun could be pretty awesome. Moving around with the stick strafin and shit and then looking just by pointing the gun and blastin away.

This, although laugh worthy would actually be badass.

This is the most pointless thing I have ever seen. Why do you need a crappy plastic attachment just to feel like you're shooting a gun? The remote control has a bottom trigger and is perfectly capable of mimicking the functionality of a light gun without any stupid attachment.

I thought the whole point of the remote control's design was so that you wouldn't need to buy all these peripherals for the wacky games. In the demo video the remote control is a gun, a baton, a knife, a sword, a flash light, drum sticks, a fishing rod, etc. You don't need to add anything onto it. The entire concept presented here is a lot like IGNCUBE, superfluous.
