IGN Entertainment has entered into an agreement to purchase the movie website Rotten Tomatoes.
A price was not disclosed, but the deal is expected to close within the next couple weeks. Rotten Tomatoes, according to Media Metrix scores, boasted an audience of 5.2 million in May, 2004.
IGN also announced it has disposed of the IGN/GameSpy corporate moniker, opting instead to use IGN Entertainment, which better reflects the breadth of the company's entertainment media holdings.
