IGN Reviews Full Metal Alchemist

Suikoden IV Tomorrow :D

6.4

8.0 Presentation
Though a Japanese dialogue option would have been great, Fullmetal has all the same characters and personality quirks that makes the anime so entertaining. Load times are pretty quick too.

7.0 Sound

Broken Angel's vocal work is pretty good when it happens and the score is pretty decent. There are a couple of legitimately good songs among the track selection.

6.0 Gameplay

There is some interesting ideas in here, but in the end, there just isn't a whole lot to it. Transmuting is cool, but the action is repetitive and the challenge is almost non-existent.

6.5 Lasting Appeal

Fullmetal is nowhere near as long as the typical RPG, but there are some neat video and image goodies to unlock during your second playthrough. Actually doing that, however, is another story.

6.4 OVERALL (out of 10 / not an average)

Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too high of score.

Presentation an 8?
The game has no voice acting besides short 30 sec fmvs, is ugly like a PS1 game, and has a crappy story. Seriously, presentation should be the lowest scoring aspect of the game, a 3 or 4 would be more appropriate.

Hopefully other site are tougher on this game. I don't go out of my way to play bad games, so I'm sure there are worse ones. But if FMA is a 6, I have a hard time believing the scale below 5 is even used.

I can't wait to see the first 3/10 review!

Ugh crap no japanese dialogue option, when the hell will square enix learn (Yuna's US VA in FFX was beyond bad, luckily she improved slightly for X-2 lol). This game officially goes to the don't pick up till it's $19.99 bin. I'm assuming they used the same VA's as the anime dub and the dub of this show is beyond bad, Al sounds like he's 5 yr old. Real shame too because the japanese VA's for this series are quite good.

No Japanese voices, but who cares as the English voices are uniformly pretty good, and not beyond bad as michael claims.

This game is by Racjin, creators of most-overlooked-game-of-all-time Sub Rebellion, and so I had some expectations going in, but it's just another 3d basher with plain graphics.

Don't forget Trap Gunner either. For some reason they were known as Racdym back then.
