Anyway, as for Lost in Blue, I tried it, and I thought it was pretty fun, and the reviews talk about how repetitive it is, and I always had a thing for repetition in my games.

I realize that Pikmin has its own little qualities about it that make it better, but I thought it was just too stressful. You weren't allowed to play on your own time, so you could never explore the environments.

Thumbs up to DQVIII, Wario Ware Twisted and Pikmin 2. Not so much on Ape Escape 3 and Lost in Blue.

I realize that Pikmin has its own little qualities about it that make it better, but I thought it was just too stressful. You weren't allowed to play on your own time, so you could never explore the environments.

Yeah, Pikmin 2 is both less stressful and more at the same time.

It's less stressful because you don't have time again you.
It's more stressful because you can't get new Pikmin while in long long dungeons.

I found the random dungeons to be too long, too repetitive and a bit of a bore. I much prefered the gorgeous looking overworld of the first game and didn't mind the time limit.

I was thinking the same thing. 18-21 is anything but uneventful if you look at it that way -- good luck ever getting a piece of that (without looking like a creep and/or breaking the law) once you're over 21!

DQVIII and Wario Ware are thumbs up. The rest is good stuff, but not super amazing or anything.
