I watched an episode of it a long time ago but I can't remember the name of it for the life of me. There is this guy who spends a lot of his time in a small bedroom on his computer. if I remember correctly he's usually posting on a murder forum or something to that effect. At some point during the story, he witnesses a girl murdering someone in a gruesome manner. He tries to hide so she won't see him, but she does. And when she confronts him she is completely unthreatened by him and speaks as if she knows him. Well, she does know him actually. But he has no idea who she is. You get the sense that this is all playing out in his head. Nothing about what you're seeing feels reliable. I believe it was based off a series from a niche little pocket of the gaming sphere.
Also, any suggestions for anime of increasing psychological complexity? Something in the vein of Twelve Kingdoms. Bonus points if it's sci-fi, or Cyberpunk specifically.
