ImageReady question

I'm pretty sure you can do this in image ready, but I'm not positive.

What I'd like to do is create a sqirling gif. I think there's some way in ImageReady to manipulate a layer in one frame but not have it affect another. By doing this, I would take my first frame with my image, add another frame, then rotate the layer 180 degrees, and have the layer only change for the scrond frame but not thr first. I'd then go about tweening them somehow so that you'd see the layer rotate across 10 or so frames.

I'm pretty sure I've done something like this before. Am I crazy?

Yes, I certainly can. This is how I normally do thingsa, but I'm pretty sure there's a way to tween between two frames so it will automate the rotating and save me bundles of time.
