Import Gamer? Donate Club Nintendo Codes here...

On March 1, Club Nintendo is releasing 3 new gamecube controllers in Japan.

A Mario model which is blue back, red face, with M logo. A Luigi model with blue back, green face and L logo, and a club nintendo model with blue back, gray face, and the club nintendo logo. The cost is 500 points.

A club nintendo logo memory card 251 will also be released. These will cost 400 points.

Anyways, I realized that quite a few gamers here will be importing games like Meteos, Another Code, etc. so I propose this thread. If it takes off, maybe it can even be stickied... :) The thread can be handled in two ways.

1) We create a registry of Japan GAF members who subscribe to club nintendo. Those who want to donate a code will check the list to see which name is bold, send the code via PM, and post in the thread that the transaction was made. I will keep track of keeping the list updated in regards to who is next.

2) If that is too much work, or if a donor just doesnt really care, we have those who wish to donate codes just post them in the thread, and then it is first come first serve including lurkers.

Registered Japan GAF Club Nintendo Members - Post in the thread to have your name added to the list.

I already have a few buddies here who donate their codes to me in exchange for info/scans/pics/etc when Club Nintendo news arises. But you can add me to your list anyway if you like. :)

EDIT: PS - the Mario and Luigi controllers are old. They've been out for months here.

EDIT AGAIN: Ah, and the Club Nintendo controller is even older. :) (Just checked to see what you were talking about.)

I'm a PLATINUM MEMBER

but i think Jonnyram is a platinum member about 50 times over!

lollers... i have every DS game there is, and i haven't registered ANY OF THEM.
What a douche.

Oh wait, you can trade these things in for stuff? I've just been putting the Club Nintendo slips in an envelope for safe keeping.

I got the Mario controller and I have the points for the Luigi controller to match it but they're always sold out of the M & L controllers :(

Been donating all of mine to john. On note, did the puyo, badn brothers and yoshi ones work?
They did, yes! I thought I wrote you about it. Maybe I /msged you on IRC? Either way, thanks! It was only those two earlier ones that didn't work out for whatever reason.

Did you ever get the Koei case?

I've been meaning to catch you on IRC one of these days to ask you all about the Narikiri Dungeon series. I've been thinking of getting into it -- starting from the first one. :D

Just how many points do you get per game anyway?
Generally speaking, it ranges from like 15 to 60, depending on two factors: how much the game costs and how soon after release you buy it.

Add me too. I'm always trying to add points to my account.
I don't have that many and I would really love to bump up my status. I can't buy every game that hits the market like I wish I could but I'm always appreciative of any assistance with the codes.

The Club Nintendo system is different in Japan than USA, right?

I have Naruto 2, 3, Drill Land, Soul Calibur 2, Viewtiful Joe, and the Game Boy Player imported. I remember seeing codes on some of these.

Ooo, I hope biohazard 4 netted you a few extra points. :D

Is anyone here going to be selling these at all? Id really like one of the controllers but have no way to get it =(

I wish Nintendo would do something cool like that here in the US. I've registered a Gamecube, GBA SP, DS, and about 20 games and all I've ever gotten was a Metroid Prime 2 demo disc.

You are donating codes you can't use to forum members in Japan who can use them... they wont be sending you the prizes, hence the word DONATION.

Ill add the rest of the people after lunch.

Yup! The Koei case is awesome! Although it still doesnt fit the power/ac adaptor, it'll still do :D And I think it was the Donkey Konga 1/2 codes that didnt work previously.

Also, where do you plan to get narikiri dungeon 1?

I'd love it if you can find a copy for me, since it seems impossible to find unless I try japan auctions. As for the other 2 games themselves, it's all out tales battling with dungeon crawling and tales series crossover. So, basically it's fanservice but if you really enjoy the characters and the battle system, it should be up your alley. Only negative point about the battles is that the magic isn't real time. But hey, just think about being able to use a team of Lloyd, Reid, and Cless! Or Kyle, Farah, and Kratos! Also can't forget to mention; ND2 features characters from ToP, ToD, ToE, and is just mainly quests and dungeon crawling. ND3 features the listed series above plus ToD2j, ToS and uses a SRPG map system for the dungeon crawling.

Sorry that I can't provide much on ND1 since I haven't tried it myself.

Anyone (looking at you DC!) that has some codes still in the skrink wrap they'd be willing to donate. My income is geared towards maybe one game a month, if that.

OK well I'll look around Akihabara and see if I can find a copy. How much are you willing to spend? If you give me a limit, I can look for one for you too.

The others sound cool but I really wanna start from the first one, if I can. :) Thanks for the info!

I have those three controllers. The Mario and Luigi ones are rad. The other one... not so rad.
The other one, Club Nintendo edition, is far less impressive. I'm hoping Nintendo offers a DS color change soon. That's what I'm saving my points for.

40-50 seems like the right range? Its a GBC game after all, but so rare :/
