I do video work (Final Cut Pro X) and need a new external hard drive for an upcoming project. I've had failures from just about every manufacturer so I'm not partial to any particular one.
I can only afford to spend about $100 (maybe stretch to $150).
I need at least 2TB.
I would prefer to have thunderbolt, but I don't think that is going to happen on my budget, so I'm probably looking at USB 3.0.
I would like the drive to be 7200 rpm. 5400 just causes too much slowdown in video editing.
If anyone can offer any advice on a quality drive in my budget, I'd really appreciate it, thanks!
