So the Russian Airforce takes an old airliner out of storage. Pilot takes off, only to find that the flight controls are completely fucked. Incredibly, he manages to land the plane fighting the controls all the way. Crazy flying!

how do you take off in the first place if the controls aren't working ?

Pull back + throttle speed/thrust = take off. The controls for the plane on taxi-take off isn't really too many controls, at least I wouldn't think it is.

I'm thinking the controls crapped out after he started to climb and was in the air.
