The Indy Experience has confirmed a press release which states that model Laura Dutta has landed a small role in Indiana Jones 4:

It is official! Model Laura Dutta represented by ASH Models has landed a role in Indiana Jones 4. The movie is the 4th sequel in the Indiana Jones franchise and will cast Harrison Ford and Sean Connery. Indiana Jones 4 is to be directed by Steven Spielberg.

Though Miss Dutta has a three month shooting schedule, her agents from ASH Models has confirmed that she will fly to Paris during shooting to do Fashion Week.

What roll she will be playing is unknown.

The Indy Experience added:

Since we first reported this, we have contacted Dutta's agent who has confirmed that this report is indeed true. He stated that Laura Dutta will indeed be in Indiana Jones 4. Her part will be small but it is a speaking role. Dutta's agent did state that contracts have been signed. As of now it is a done deal, with just the required legal mumbo-jumbo left. Dutta is new to acting, but the casting department liked what they saw. Dutta's agent also stated that casting for Indy 4 has been going on for some time, but for just how long we don't know.

The only f'n casting I want to hear is that even though Sean Connery has quit Hollywood he's coming back to do this one movie...

Can't wait. Indiana Jones movies are always classic.
The only exception is when their existence is artificially justified in order to cash in on a classic license.

Are you saying this is the case for this film? I think Spielberg is smart enough to know how important the IJ films are, and not to fuck them up. Thankfully it comes down to him, not Lucas, to decide what we see on film. Spielberg is also incredibly smart with his use of FX, and I'm sure he will get it edited so Ford doesn't look and act like his age. Unless that's what they are going for.

Honestly I think if we were ever going to get a 4th IJ film, it's better now rather than a few years after Crusade. You could tell they were kind of burnt out. Hopefully they have meditated enough on it.

I trust Speilberg with films. Even his "bad" ones are entertaining.

hawt

I hope Indy 4 is on Raiders of The Lost Ark and Last Crusade levels and NOT on Temple of Doom levels

I want to trust in Spielberg but WoW makes me think twice here's hoping for a great movie.

It's bullshit. The movie still has yet to be greenlit, and Spielberg hasn't definitively committed. Isn't he still going to do the Lincoln movie next?

Spielberg now typically does two movies a year. A big action/effects movie and a smaller one. He really started doing it with Jurassic Park and Schindler's List.

1993 was Jurassic Park and Schindler's List
1997 was Amistad and Lost World
2002 was Catch Me if You Can and Minority Report
2005 was War of the Worlds and Munich.
2006 is Lincoln and Indy 4.

WoW is a damn good entertaining movie with a crappy ending. Spielberg just owns.

that doesn't look like a yearly pattern to me (minus the Indy 4 in 2006 speculation)

you guys dont read do you? Spielberg merely adapted the book/earlier movie its not like he re wrote much besides adding the children. If you didnt like the movie you didnt like H.G. Wells' book basically.

Considering all the scripts the trio have turned down the last 13 years, I fail to see how an Indy 4 would be a cash-in. If that's all they were doing, we'd be talking about them prepping for Indy 9.

The movie's been greenlit for quite a while, now. Spielberg committed to it like 2 years ago, too - they're just getting the script in order.

Doom > Crusade.

I agree.

While Crusade was good, I thought it was a bit too similar to Raiders in some respects. It was almost like they rehashed a lot of the material - it just felt "used" in some aspects.

Temple of Doom kicks ass.

Temple of Doom would be better if they had cut that silly dancer scene and if they had killed off the annoying bitch at some point. Preferably somewhere in the beginning.

I like where this thread is going. Crusade plays like a kid's movie compared to the first two.

Case in point: The grotesque death scene in Crusade was completely bloodless.

Raiders had melting faces galore.
Temple had PG-13 inspiring heart ripping.
Crusade had a guy getting old really fast.

That said, the tank chase is one of Spielberg's best action sequences.

Mola Ram is infinitely a more fun and interesting bad guy than the derivative, wanna-be Nazi that was a severely pale imitation of Belloq.

Temple of Doom would be better if they had cut that silly dancer scene

Are you kidding me? Anything goes! It sets up a great line early in the movie. The whole beginning of the film is just classic....."Good service here." And Williams' score for Doom is completely underrated, I still think it's some of his best work ever.

You're kidding me. That, and the rest of the beginning, is the best part of the movie.

I loved Doom! I'm not sure what they could do with a 4th Indiana Jones.. especially at their current ages. Unless maybe it's a grandson.. i dunno how I'd feel about that though.

They should get Sean Patrick Flannery.
