I've decided that I want to pick up all the Initial D stuff on DVD... if I just pick up

Initial D - 1st Stage
Initial D - 2nd Stage
Initial D - 3rd Stage
Initial D - 4th Stage

Is that it? I thought I saw somewhere an Initial D OVA... and a sidestory?(or is the OVA the sidestory).

There is a side story. It's about the girls they race(Blue Impact). I think its the "Special Stage"

Are they still making these in Japan? The last episode I saw was when the main character was joining up with the other kid with the white RX-7.

There's battle stage too.

Just so you know, the American Tokyopop releases really blow, as they changed the show and even the 'original' JPN versions on them have been altered. Also, the official Japanese DVDs are not subtitled in English (as far as I know, *please* correct me if I'm wrong). So you'll be buying a pirated product if you want the best version of Initial D, subtitled, in case you're wondering about that sorta thing.
