Unless your 3 year old phone has tap to focus and video editing, the 3GS is still the winner.

Seems so, esp. based on this guy's breakdown of the new camera and the supporting software for metering.Tobor said:Unless your 3 year old phone has tap to focus and video editing, the 3GS is still the winner.

750 bucks down the drain...but my contract with ATT still winds down instead of starting over baby!
Haven't had ANY time to play with it yet aside from a minute of walking around the mall with it.
Took a video, video looked good.
Took a photo or two, tap focusing was great.
Used the compass, had to do the secret infinity air motion to get it working but it worked good.
On the car ride home I d/l'd Pandora and listened to that, and I'm currently syncing the SOB up right now.
Can't wait to put this thing through the paces!

I have a 3G, but I didn't want to extend my ATT plan by another 2 years (cause I fucking hate them!), so I opted to spend more now and have my contract end gracefully right around when the next iPhone comes out.dallow_bg said:750? Shit!
Wouldn't you have had to pay the $499 price? Or did you not have a 3G before (i can't recall)
Oh wow.Lord Error said:I posted this earlier already, but here it goes again: I was extremely impressed with the speed of the 3GS. It feels a lot snappier than my 1st gen Touch in regular use, and application loading an more importantly framerates were 2-3x higher for sure. I tested this with Zen Bound, the game I knew was chugging with framerate on my Touch on any more complex object level, but on those same levels, 3GS kept near constant 60FPS, which was 2.5-3x better than on my Touch, that kept maybe 20-25FPS at most on those levels.
In regular use, there was never a moment where I felt like I had to wait for the device to respond to an input, no matter what I tried to do. Definitely not the case with my Touch.
Pixel peeping those images at full size, they get rather grainy and blotchy, so I don't think it would get me to drop a regular P&S camera just yet, but it's a nice step up.StrikerObi said:Ihnatko is a total camera nerd, so the fact that he likes the 3GS camera as much as he does says a lot about the thing to me.
Thanks man you saved me a trip! Also I don't think you can see the availability of games on the website.RubxQub said:...oh...and Eaten by a Grue: There was no Ghostbusters for the 360 at the KOP Best Buy!
I'm wondering that too. After I upgraded I went to snag a long song I couldn't get before, and it's still saying I can't get it because it's over 12 megs. >__<lawblob said:Whatever happened to eliminating 10mb restrictions for 3g downloads?

Shit seriously? I was looking forward to that more than MMS or Copy+Paste =/ So tired of streaming podcasts when I could just download it instead. 3G is so much more stable for me than WiFi.Liu Kang Baking A Pie said:Bullshit made up by a website.
