This can't end well for Iran, especially with the firepower the US has. Shame really, Syria was a beautiful country in the past, now it's ravaged by war and destruction.
 
This feels weird. Don't they know the US can hit a lot harder than they can? What are they thinking? Are they hoping the US doesn't want to escalate, or do they want an escalation?

The US and the current leadership will not do much. They are weak and have made the world weaker in the long run. Russia and china are working together a nightmare scenario for western powers. Iran is emboldened by our current military and the weakenss we portray on the world stage showing more concern over social issues than military strength. Also recruitment and soldiers are way down due to covid vax requirements in the military.

I feel Russia, China, NK, and Iran are working towards an engagement. They all have economies in the dumps. This makes them extra dangerous right now.

The sooner folks realize the DEFAULT state of mankind is constant warfare and the ONLY times it isn't is when there is a single big bad mofo holding a knife to everyone else's throat the sooner we will realize that it's better to have a relatively benevolent mofo like the US (or Rome, or Persia, or etc etc) holding that knife than a FAR more belligerent one.

I also feel like any country that DOES NOT have energy independence as the TOP PRIORITY is gonna be sucking wind HARD in the next few years. Be it nuclear, natgas, oil, coal, wind, solar, or millions on bicycles, if you can't run your grid yourself you are the total mercy of the big bad mofos that can.

Other than possessing nukes, Russia has exposed themselves as a shit, deprecated army with no functional abilities or any high-quality training for this personnel.
USA can most likely whoop their asses pretty easily if Russia is struggling against Ukraine.
China is something else though, I believe they have an army rivaling the USA but I don't think they're going for any evil team-up to do anything particular, just because the status quo is convenient for everyone in the world.
