my comcast internet is being VERY slow when it comes to loading webpages. be it GAF, google, and almost any webpage I surf to.

I've tried switching my DNS numbers to the Verizon DNS's and also the Speakeasy DNS's

I also tried the method of speeding up FireFox. these things are not working for me.

well, at least I *can* surf and I am connected.

anyone else experiencing slow Comcast ?

I've been experiencing slowdown/DNS problems with both Verizon (at my apartment) and Comcast (my parents' house), as well as computers at work and school. I really think a large portion of the internet is borked, because there's no way it's just Comcast like some people were speculating. Or maybe it's just New England. I know that there were some DNS attacks a few weeks ago, but that's all I can really say. Manually specifying DNS addresses hasn't helped at all.

I couldn't connect to google for about 15 minutes. No real speed problems though

Should probably check broadbandreports.com. This thread seems to pop up every week and there just isn't an adequate sampling of Comcast users at GAF to make it useful.
