Is Battlefield 2 okay for single player? I am tempted to get this at Xbox 360 launch and am not going to subscribe to LIVE. Is there bots?

Um, BF2 is a PC game. Modern Combat, the xbox 360 game is quite a bit different. I assume it will have a bit more elaborate singleplayer.

BF2 is not a singleplayer game, period.

If it's the same as the PC version, then yes, you can play single player with bots, but BF2 is made for online multiplayer. Don't bother if you're not going to get LIVE.

If you get it for single player and it hasn't changed from the PC version you'll probably be disappointed.

Alright, I guess I'll stick with Call of Duty 2, Ghost Recon 3 and the Outfit then.

BF2's single player mode is only for training purposes. Period. It is nowhere as fun as the real thing and it is mostly there because it's a complex game and going online with it without any kind of experience leads to lots of pain, sorrow and pwnage.
