You're welcome to feel that way of course. But even if you think people are too thin-skinned and too PC and you feel strongly that transgendered people should not be given the pronoun of their identified gender, why be quite so glib about it? I mean, I deal with a lot of people in the run of a day or the run of a week who I think are being unreasonable, as you are expressing here, but I don't intentionally try to push their buttons to hurt them or be cruel. I certainly wouldn't try to reduce what someone feels is a very serious part of their personal identity to an analogy about fruit, even if I thought they were inaccurately characterizing themselves. I just try to be nice to people, especially if they're trying to live their lives and doing so causes no harm to me.

I think you must know that the only possible reaction you could elicit from this is hurting others. So I'm not really sure why you'd do it.

As a Libertarian, you have no idea how much this is tearing me up inside. On one side I'm like "well the entire point of liberty is that you can do what you want within the confines of the law and no one has any right to tell you otherwise" and the flipside "liberty allows people to organise into groups and if they want to deem certain behaviours unacceptable even if they're lawful that's for them to agree and you have the choice of being a part of that community or not." I suppose it's a matter of degree.
