is it even remotely possible for my xbox to be ruining my tv's?

ok i know this sounds really stupid and before you guys rape me, hear me out.

so i had my modded xbox hooked up to the tv in my bedroom. the tv is a 4 year old toshiba and it is pretty much done now. it turns on but i dont get picture not even smacking it works anymore. so i moved my xbox to my tv in the living room. that tv is a 6 year old samsung. so im playing my xbox and the picture turns off (just like if you had turned the tv off) then flashes back on real quick. this is essentially what happened to my toshiba when it first started acting up. this samsung never acted up ONCE but right when i hook my xbox up to it, this happens.

do you think its even remotely possible?

1) stop smacking your TVs and they will work longer :)

2) Does the TV work when you don't have the XBox hoocked up to it?

well i only started smacking it when the picture would cut out like someone had turned the tv off but the tv was still on. smacking it used to do the trick but now i beat the shit out of it and nothing happens.

and the tv in the living room only did it once and right after it happened i stopped playing and turned it off completely. but it resembles what happened to my bedroom tv when it first started to go. but it was the first and only time ive experienced that on that tv.

im really hoping it was a loose wire or my xbox just messed up. the thomson drive is really starting to go on it maybe it almost died but then just went back on real quick.

So are you saying that if you disconnect the Xbox from the TV and reconnect the TV like it was before it doesn't work anymore?

my samsung works except last night it cut off and went right back on. which coincidently (or not) was my first time playing xbox on it.

Is your mod chip trying to send hi resolution data to the TV at a bad refresh or something?

i have no idea. someone on the xbox-scene forum said something about my xbox might be 60mhz but my tv might be 50mhz.
