Is it possible to buff out small scratches on glass?

One of my MP3 players has a glass screen that unfortunately has a few small surface scratches. I plan to sell the player but first I want to get the scratches out of the screen.

I can take the scratches on the plastic body with relative ease using some of that scratch removing solution that come with Disk Doctors. Glass is a different matter entirely though and I have no idea how to get scratches out or if it's even possible.

There's this stuff called Novus that gets some scratches out. It's mainly used on pinball machines. It won't get rid of them if they're too deep though.

Where can you get it?

Are yuu sure it's a glass screen? not just transparent plastic?

I used this cream on my brothers PSP that had LONG surface scratches. Basically you dab some of this white stuff on then rubb it over then entire screen. bascially it covers the screen white it hardens and then with some rubbing alcohol just wipe it off and the scratchs are either gone, full, or are almost unnoticable I'll get you the name of the product tomorrow it's almost like a car wax but It's made for TV's works great. I bought it on ebay for 7$ and comes in a bottle.
