Is it possible to change m4a to mp3/wma/wav/whatever?

I have a collection of songs (m4a) that won't play on my mp3 player (Creative). How do I change the format, or is it even possible?

There's several tools to do this, do a google on "convert mp3 " or something to that effect.

You'll lose sound quality by the way.

i did it sometime ago but i don't recall the program i used, so it can be done.

does it lose quality? i converted them into wav's and burned them onto a CD and they sounded awesome. maybe it lost quality, but it was negligible to me

The files will lose quality if you convert from one compressed format to another. Going from mp3 --> WAV will sound just like the original mp3 file. If you convert mp3 --> m4a --> wma or whatever, each iteration will be worse than the last one.
