Is it possible to resume a file download, but resume over top with a bigger file?

Ok say I had a file called 'worldofwarcraftopenbeta.zip', and I downloaded 2GB of it (as it's only a 2GB file). Now say I realise that the file is meant to be 2.5GB; is there any way I can download on top of the 2GB file, using resume (not overwrite), but with this new 2.5GB file?

So it would start at the 2GB file I had already downloaded, and eventually make the file be 2.5GB big?

Thanks smartass :)

I am aware of resume and what it does, but I'm not sure you understood my question correctly.

I basically wish to resume over top of an old, small file with a file that's BIGGER (a seperate file) and newer. The small file was a complete download (as far as the computer is concerned).
