...thats just because everyone else prefers to hide these numbers.Concurrent users on PC seems to be the number one indication how well a game has sold.
PC often doesn't sell as many games as consoles but to be fair they have a lot more games to pick from.
Do those let the customer refund an app or shared their whole app library with other people?I'm pretty sure App Store & Play Store is ahead![]()
The Helldivers 2, Elden Ring, MH wilds numbers come from Alinea, we don't know official splits. People just tend to take them as gospel when reported on by various websites.Depends on the game.
- Cyberpunk
- Helldivers 2
- Elden Ring
- Monster Hunter Wilds
All sold best on PC from what we know. All huge games.
This would be unheard of 10 years ago so yes the market has definitely shifted.
But other games do better on ps5:
- Silent Hill 2 remake
- NBA 2k / Madden
- GTA
People use CCU on steam because we don't have much other data to rely onSteam is becoming more popular every year that goes by. Is steam ahead of all consoles now? Except for Nintendos first party offerings i guess.

No, they don't. Helldivers 2 came from the devs' Twitter stating PC had sold more and we could easily extrapolate using Steam charts numbers vs concurrent players reported by the devs. The Helldivers 2, Elden Ring, MH wilds numbers come from Alinea, we don't know official splits. The short answer is No. It's Mobile, and by such a wide margin that it's unlikely anyone will even come close to matching those numbers in the foreseeable future. And it's only getting bigger. Is steam becoming the number one platform for all games?
No contest at that point if we also include Blizzards World of Warcraft and Epics Fortnite but Steam alone is already enough.PC is, yes.
He did try save face at the end with "I'm just joking" because he caught nuclear heat from the fam lolWhat a based little mf'er! Love it! He even stands his ground after the whole room is like "Are u serious!?". Amazing.
I do like GOG but honestly I don't backup the files I "own" lol I use it like any other launcher. You don't own your Steam games, its digital DRM. On PC their is GOG that lets you own games but Windows itself needs a Microsoft account. So if you want to own your PC games you are looking at GOG games that work on Linux.
Its kinda like the physical games of Sony/Nintendo consoles. No one has the power to remove your ownership of these games. Your ownership is not tied to a digital store.I do like GOG but honestly I don't backup the files I "own" lol I use it like any other launcher.
The nice thing about GOG is that they have old versions of games like Bethesda RPGs that are compatible with all the mods out there.
I think the lack of DRM is cool, but it's mostly a novelty for me. Steams servers back up "my files" (I KNOW I DONT OWN THEM FOR SHAME) better than I ever would, and I have yet to lose access to a game that I'm aware of.
Dunno about Apple but Google Play does and they've done it before Steam. Their refund is also instantaneous unlike Steam which needs approval before it gets processed.Do those let the customer refund an app or shared their whole app library with other people?
I don't know about the numbers but, as a customer, I can't think of a better storefront.
Yeah I understand the concept of DRM lol I just don't care that much, GOG is just another launcher to me. The experience is 1:1 since I'm not interesting in keeping file backups of my games. Its kinda like the physical games of Sony/Nintendo consoles. Yeah, GOG is the best store on pc....just for the way they deliver games. But if only a few devs are releasing over there...what can you do!I do like GOG but honestly I don't backup the files I "own" lol I use it like any other launcher.
