I'm always afraid that cell phone companies rip off consumers during the holidays, and this year is no different.

Today I noticed that Verizon is doing a deal where you can buy a Motorola V265 for $50 if you get a 2-year service plan and such, but I really don't know anything about cell phones in the first place. I read reviews for the phone and they say that the camera it comes with is pretty crappy, and that it has no blue-tooth. Still though, $50 for a sleek and new camera doesn't sound bad.

What's your take on it?

Perhaps the real question is... are there any holiday deals out there that involve cell phones with a GOOD camera and mp3 ring tone? I guess that's what I'm looking for... the Motorola v265 only has a resolution of 640x480, and who knows, one day I may want to upload some pictures to my computer since the phone allows for USB connectivity

LG VX7000

LG VX8000 is comming out soon though... with EVDO. V710 has bluetooth though. Verizons only Bluetooth phone.

I looked at some v710 reviews, and they mentioned that despite it's features, it's pretty sucky. Apparently, Verizon intentionally limited the blue tooth on it and what not. That's cheap.

Perhaps I should look into another service provider.

True, they did criple it, but it still is Verizon's best phone.
