Ive been looking for a new card since my AIW 9600 died earlier this week, but for under 200. Is this a good choice? If you can find a better card, I need it to be AGP.

I went from a Radeon 9800 to a GeForce 6800 for about the same price and I'd say it was worth it. That was a few months back, so you may want to see if upcoming gen cards will prompt another price drop soon.

Eh, there's plenty of good cheap AGP cards out there, and chances are he's not sporting a PCI-E compatible board right now.

Pci-e means nothing, it's the same speed. It only makes your card last another upgrade.

AGP 8x meant nothing when it was released as well. Mobo manufacturers just want to make you upgrade or something. PCI-E won't be put to full use in a loooong time.

Yeah, a $400 computer I got off Ebay ended up becoming a $1000 machine because it needed upgrades so badly. Damn these built-in obsolecences
