Is Your PSP Honeymoon Over?

Know what would make the PSP the best handheld ever?

If Koei localized ROTK5. I'm not sure how good 5 is, but I played 3, 4, 6, 7, 8 and 9.

All of them were addictive as hell. Only one I didn't think too highly of was 6.

If this were the Gamecube or Xbox release list, then the story would be DOOOOOM, but since it's psp it's "be patient."

Anyway, both the DS and PSP are sucking for me right now. I'm playing the GBA more than either...hell, I'm playing the NGPC more than the DS and PSP put together. At least the DS let's me play Minish Cap on it, though. :\

Meh. The Xbox and Gamecube have their own doom and gloom lists, but several years into each system's lifetime, they SHOULD be chided for it.

I'm just waiting for Ys T_T

Ys is a 10 hour experience.

ROTK is a lifetime experience. You can re-play that game to kingdom come.

So addictive. Especially if it's in a handheld format. Getting in a couple rounds while on the commute...that would be just the greatest thing ever!

Excuse me, but where does the no-dev support myth came from?

Just to point out a couple of promising games been shown at E3 2005:

Virtua Tennis
Daxter
Pursuit Force
GTA
SOCOM
Burnout Legends
Death Jr.
WRC
MGA2
Viewtiful Joe VFX Battle
Infected
Monster Hunter
Medievil Resurrection
Gripshift

Please, stop the madness.

None of those are RPGs.

I think it's just a wee, wee bit early for that conclusion, no? The PSP hasn't even had a US holiday season yet!

Mario Kart DS, Castlevania Dawn of Sorrow, Mario & Luigi 2, New Super Mario Bros, Animal Crossing DS, Nanostray, Gunstar Super Heroes, GB Micro will sell a few more GBA systems, SP price drop? When Sony drops the PSP to $200 DS drops to $129? Sony PSP is a big underdog in the portable war it is facing a looooooooooooooong uphill battle.

PSP was the best handheld launch ever and one of the best video game launches in general. Even better than GBA.
I strongly disagree. The JP GBA launch lineup was much more varied with more AAA games to boot. In fact, it's possibly the best launch lineup ever.

The games for the rest of the year, nobody knows what will happen. Keep in mind, DS has been bone dry and only after 7 months is it going to see a slew of good but not great titles. Already people are dogging the PSP for a little more than two months? Nintendo fans have selective memories I guess. With the release schedule, PSP's lineup its first seven months has more quality and quantity than DS's first seven months.

Some people are drama queens.
I'd say Nintendo fans are really just returning the favor. DS has been hounded endlessly for it's crap lineup, now's it's PSP's turn. That simple.

I'd also say DS forst 12 months looks a whole lot better than PSP's 1st 12 months.

Still love my PSP, a lot. I hope that Sony price slashes and devs put more and more games on this thing, I want it to be the dominant portable in the long run.

considering i just got married to my PSP, I am still in my honeymoon stage and I am hooked on MLB .... I just hooked it up to my new wireless connection at home so that also has some novelty to it..

My nephews are gonna be 10 and 11 next month, and I was considering buying them one PSP each. But after reading this thread I'm not so sure anymore. What would you guys recommend?

DS. They'd probably break their PSPs 1st day they bring it into school.

You should see the envy in my co-workers' eyes when they see me watching episodes of The Office (BBC version) on my PSP at the office. :)

:) pfft :(I feel somewhat embarrased to watch videos on the PSP in public. Its sort of unwieldedly to hold so you end up looking like a freak.
