It looks like the Batman Arkham games could be coming to Switch | VGC

“Batman Arkham Collection - Switch” has appeared on a French retail site, leading to speculation that the caped crusader may be coming to Nintendo’s platform soon.

According to French retailer WTT, the game will cost €59.99 and currently holds a placeholder release date of August 31, 2022.

WTT previously listed the Switch port of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt before its announcement, potentially lending legitimacy to the Batman listing.

Good news, at least i'm gonna stop hearing that botw invented glider in open world games (hopefully)
 
You know if this is more or less the 360 version with 1080p docked I'll actually be pretty interested. I have the Demasters on Xbox but the first game is weirdly capped at 45fps, while the second game is still 1080p/30fps anyways. Might as well have it portable.

I guess the real question is if they'll be able to get Knight to work on Switch at all or this will include Origins instead.

Asylum, City, Origins is what i would expect. Don't think knight would be worth playing on the switch anyway with the compromises and all that anyway.
 
Doubtful it would have Origins Instead of Knight. Says Pegi 18 on there, and ArkhamKnight was the rated M one, which I would guess is equal to pegi 18. Now, if they had origins also, sweet but that won't happen

Well, I love city, best game ever at the time IMHO, a lot of people argue over asylum vs city and you will see, whether you like metroid Vania or open world.
 
Well I guess that arkham knight could be possible on switch with some downgrade, it's a ue4 game after all, but I'm pretty sure that they will launch only the two originals games, the same "remastered" edition that they launch on ps4/xbone.

It's a UE3 game. But a very very heavy one. A switch conversion would either suck or take a long time.

UE3 makes things more complicated as well. as UE3 is not officially supported on Switch by Epic. that means a developer that ports a UE3 game to Switch will also need to port UE3 to Switch.

Rocket League is on Switch and uses UE3, so there is a possible dev out there with experience in this at least

Yeah no. Why should I part with my 60€ for year old games when I got them for 2€ a piece on steam?
I am kinda done with Nintendo and their ridiculous pricing at this point but nice try I guess

Origins wasn't part of the trilogy before, even the remasters. So it won't be this time too.

More likely they just port the UE4 versions (the ps4/Xbox one) versions

It's not one game, though, it's a collection of games. Three games for the price of one standard Switch game is not a bad deal, especially when it comes to the Arkham games.

I can get them bundled on a sale for like 15$ on steam and play them portably on deck.
They (nintendo) almost got me with the Ezio collection but I can't possibly spend 50€ on games from 2008/2010. However you spin it, they are overpriced

It wouldn't be Nintendo setting the price for these hames that would be the publisher, Warner.

Anyway, I'd like to try these on Switch, but I just bought the Arkham Collection on Xbox for $8.99.

It is more trash to think that zelda invented the mechanic of slowing down after a jump (because that is the function of a glider) but ok.

I literally gave you two examples of the glider on Zelda, which are from two decades ago, also the previous game (skyward sword) had a glider too, but somehow you're saying that people are saying"botw invented the glider" sounds like bs to me.

And I said Zelda didn't invent the glider because there were games like pilotwings. So the narrative is inside your salty head tbh. I think you're mad because people are saying Horizon forbidden west took the same glider from botw, which looks exactly like the same type of glider, not the batman glider nor far cry. Don't worry, botw took the towers from Ubisoft games and nobody is crying about it.

Forbidden West clearly looked at what Zelda was doing and was inspired by a lot of it... all of it is of course worse than in Zelda, but that was to be expected
