NYT Article

"The prevailing orthodoxy at the elite law schools is an extreme rationalism that draws a strong distinction between faith and reason," said Bruce W. Green, Liberty's dean.

After all, they're just LAWYERS. They don't need silly things like reason.

Socrates was in no way christian, and if you're not judeochristian you're "pagan". Rather simple.

Don't think for a moment Falwell cares about religious freedom or religions in general. All he cares about is advancing his own.

Considering Socrates came before Christianity, I figured he was saying that he was non-religious, which is another interpretation of pagan.

1. One who is not a Christian, Muslim, or Jew, especially a worshiper of a polytheistic religion.
2. One who has no religion

The first definition covers the second, and this IS ancient greece we're talking about. :p

If you have no religion then you aren't a Christian, Muslim, or Jew.

And what misconception? Socretes was a pagan.

Alright, I see. Having 'a religion' follows subscription. I was thinking of:

1. Having or showing belief in and reverence for God or a deity.
2. Of, concerned with, or teaching religion: a religious text.

That he isn't religious. That he doesn't believe in a God.

God was a pagan. Granted this was before Christmas was celebrated. By Jews.

ACTIVIST JUDGES vs. FALWELL LAWYERS
15 ROUNDS AT CAESAR'S PALACE

In a couple of years, we're going to be complaining about regressive activist judges. The Bush administration has no problem putting them on the bench.
