It's almost 2010: What was the GIF of the year?

Well, it's been a great year of slacking off on GAF while working in a design lab in college, while actually sitting in college class, while at my PR internship, and now even here overseas when I should be studying. GAF is always there for a good laugh. Gifs, however, are where the money is. From "Crabcore" to "pillhead trying to leave the 7-11," it's been a great year for gifs.

However, only one gif can get the title: "GIF of the YEAR"

My GIF of the year, from the Ilsidur addresses America thread:

I dare you to find a greater GIF.

what does this meme actually mean?

A person posts a story about something relevant to their interest, usually sexual in nature (that started about 16 year old strippers btw in Rhode Island), and a person instead of replying a normal post, posting a caption of a plane flying off, you assume they flew off to go see that story in person. Overanalysing it and explaining it is just as much a meme, as the original pic.

Yeah but the idea is essentially from that website.. loops three frames of video over and over again...sometimes creating a 3d-esque effect.

I agree with this post 100%

Sour Patch Kids/LOTR is awesome as hell...

...but what makes something .gif of the year? Frequency of use? Most laughs? Most impressive?

We need categories of "best" to truly give the gifs the love they deserve!
