The Canadian dollar will go up no matter who wins.
Likely if Bush wins, the dollar's rise might slow a bit in the next few weeks, but no matter what, the US dollar is going to continue to slide and combined with Canada's strong economic growth and rising interest rate environment, will push the loonie higher.
It hurts our productivity for sure. Canadian enterprise has been able to hide behind a weak dollar for a long time. Hopefully this kick in the ass will encourage outfits to find real ways to improve costs and productivity.
All true. Yet I would still rather have had Kerry in office. I personally don't put much consideration into their effect on our economy, even though it may affect our welfare a little. I'm more concerned with what may happen internationally.
