I'm trying to decide either Mazda3i or Mazda6 5 door.

MPG you'll have to look up yourself, since we have a different system here for measuring in Aus.

Handling is fantastic, you can corner quite quickly without the car feeling like it's going to break into a slide, and body roll is kept fairly low. Decent amount of power, and the gear shift action is fantastic.

Just one point about the sedan, the trunk opening is actually quite small (boot is of a decent size however) so if you are taking things out on a regular basis 5door would be a better bet.

Interior space is good for a car of it's size (it's actually got more room than the last Mazda 626)

I haven't had any problems with the car. :D

The other car is my friend's 99 Maxima -- it's incredibly quick (supercharger going in on that bitch soon, too), incredibly clean, and incredibly nice. His car gets the most attention at shows.

That last pic was taken the day I put the new rims on, it's the oldest pic of the bunch, so the front sidemarker is still amber. Modding is a pretty addictive hobby, there's no telling how much money I've spent on my car already.

Well that's bound to happen in FWD. I must say though I've driven less powerful cars that have had more torque steer. Bit strange really.
it's a function of tq through the drivetrain and variance in the lengths of the half axles. a quick google brings up some theories on variances in the centering of the front wheel contact patches too.

bottom line is that these high torque 6 cyl front drive sedans can't seem to shake it.

are they still making the rt-215s? i plan on getting a set soon but it seems everybody's changing over to 615's, which cost a bit more

I'm pretty sure the RT-215 is still being produced. I'll check with the local guys at Falken.

Lumix. Having two Truanos is just greedy! Nice rides, I really covet those Japanese FR hatches. And we have an S13 in the thread too! Good times.
A bit surprised I'm the only one running a bit of French rallying love...

Thanks.
Certain circumstances led me to getting another AE86.
The white / black GT-S was wrecked in a competition. I purchased the blue SR5 as a shell, thinking I was going to swap everything over.
I later decided against it, and had the GT-S repaired. The rear frame was pulled and reinforced with more spot welds, then repainted.
So now I just use the SR5 for my daily commute, and the GT-S as my track car. The spare parts, especially the wheels, get swapped between both cars quite a bit.

You have a nice car yourself. I also like 306 Maxi & 206.
Did the 205 really extend that long from 1984 or 85?
What was the last year in which that chassis line was produced?

Yeah. God knows that the current Acura TL is the worst offender of them all in that aspect. My car's actually pretty good with its torque steer, it's there, but it's very easy to grab control of.
