Anybody else heard this album yet? If you have, what'd you think?

I think Jadakiss is one of the best lyricists out there right now, but I was hoping that he would come better with the beats on this album.

i heard some songs...not bad but nothing amazing. jada is a great rapper but for some reason it doesnt translate into a great album.

Theres a really good mainstream song in the middle with Mariah on the hook. Its a perfect summer-time jam.

All of this year's supposedly most anticipated album's have sucked ass:

Cassidy=straight up pop shit
Lloyd Banks=Dumbed down prolly because 50 doesn't want banks gettin bigger than him
Jadakiss=just lackluster period


the game sucks right now so thats why all i listen to are mixtapes.

Since you're so knowledgeable about listening to music thats "good" and the such, why didn't you provide any suggestions with such a helpful comment?

Kiss album - 2.5 out of 5- "Why" is that Crack... serious fire on that song
Banks - 2.5 out of 5 "Karma" is Serious... everything else is basically avg..
method man - 1 out of 5- I like Nothing on this


I think Buck will be alot easier to listen to because he rhymes with some sort of passion, so I will hope for some decent mainstream music... that Mobb sounds good so far ....

Jada's album = garbage
Lloyd Banks' album = garbage


It's all about Saigon this year. Vegas too.

When Ali Vegas releases his CD, I think hes finally gonna have his turn to shine, hes a fucking awesome rapper, and should've had many singles from his other cds by now (even though many of his fans are underground anyways). Saigon is pretty sweet too, hes got a sick flow.

Lloyd Banks cd is horrible. Cassidy is a little pop bitch who cant rap. Even Jadas cd sucks, he owns in collabo's on other artist's cds for some reason.

I just got into T.I's new (well, its from like late 2003, so never mind) but its pretty fucking sweet. Hes got some good songs on the cd, "Be Easy", "Doin my job" (Kanye Beat, its a sick song).
Slum Village is pretty cool too, I never really liked toothpick by himself, but they seem pretty cool. The Collabo with Kanye is such a sweet song... "Selfish." The New guy on Kanye's record label, R&B guy, John Legend seems to be a good singer as well.

First off , good to see you around here DaCocobrova, u got that got it twisted remix with Twista... If not I will just ask Esco for it on the other board.... Vegas is serious.... this is his year if he puts out music like his FIRST album that he leaked... I dont want to hear alot of Screamin and proclamations of being the Prince, I want that specialists, theme of New York, F all yall, type flow.. and I will be happy.... Saigon is slowly becoming a problem, I have to give him some more listens.... Its wierd discussing real hip hop on this board....

finally listened to the jada album, and it has a few REALLY GOOD tracks on it... but the rest suck... hey, at least it's better than the lloyd banks album... oh wait, that still doesnt make it good...

Guys, Who is Smitty?

Some PR guy gave me a CD while I was walking downtown today, it only says "Smitty featuring Scarface and Kayne West". Talk about trying to get a underground buzz with this cryptic CD. It is a really good actually. I am assuming the song is called 'Ghetto'. The track is slammin', but not one of Kanye's best to be honest. But Scarface is actually motivated on this song and that is always good. Anyway is this new, have you heard of this rapper?

Kiss of Death isn't as bad as everyone makes it out to be. Why, Shootouts, and By Your Side are all hot in my opinion.

Even the Banks album grows on you after a while.

I've come to grips with the fact that the albums will usually come in second to the mixtape material.

The songs mentioned in this thread are the only good songs on Kiss of Death.



Speaking of mixtapes, I recommend people check out the new Gangsta Grillz mixtape "Down with the King" ft. T.I. some hiliarious stuff and as well as some good rhyming going on from T.I. on that one.

To be honest, I was disappointed with Jada's album. Why? Because he should have put better production into it. Sure, there are great songs on the album, don't get me wrong. But, let's be honest, it could be a lot better. Jada has proved that he's a slick cat and he's a big player in the game right now, so hearing what I heard on this album sort of let me down in a sense. Who isn't feeling that Kanye West produced track on his CD?

Lloyd Banks. Hmm... good album. Not great or anything ground-breaking, but sweet nonetheless. "Work Magic" is a killer. There are a lot of tight songs on the album... but as someone stated before, I think it was a little underproduced... and for a reason. ;)

Young Buck... his album is sick. Far better than Lloyd Banks'... and Banks was the one who won Mixtape Artist of the Year last year. So obviously we know who can shell out a better album, and who can spit fire on mixtapes (even though Buck doesn't fail in that department either, Banks just does it a little better).

I copped this mixtape a few days ago, and let me tell you... T.I. is tough. Listen to "Jackin for Beats", "No Problems (Remix)", and "99 Problems (But Flip Aint One)". He's one of my favorite southern rappers out right now.

Ludacris is the best Southern Rapper out there right now, and one of the best in the game.

it really grew on me, and in a short time too...

it's pretty good...

the banks album still sucks tho...

but you know what really surprised me?
the Akon album...
