Is this new? It's certainly more interesting than the arcade game.

This is the standard XBox version currently available in the US and Europe. Outrun SP is a completely different animal, and is currently not available anywhere except in an arcade balsy enough to buy it.

Specifically, it has a metric ton of new tracks, new cars, and some general gameplay tweaks. But as far as I know, the SCUD and Daytona tracks are available in the US/EU releases of the game.

I just saw a Famitsu scan of Japanese Outrun 2 for XBX, it does have Scud Race and Daytona USA 2 courses in it, just like Outrun 2 SP in arcadE! :D

Uh, we know, there were approximately eight billion threads about this a few months ago. Or did you just not see 'em?

Huh, aren't all those features in American Outrun 2 anyway?

This is total bollocks. Everytning in TMB article is old (as in already in the US/EU versions). It is pretty funny that the scans of the Daytona/Scud bits were posted as if they're new or something. So it's misleading PR and lazy publishing.

Japan gets normal OutRun2. If they have even added any missions then that's news. If the bonus tracks are unlockable from the start, that is also new. That's it.

OutRun2 SP arcade does NOT contain any Daytona/Scud tracks. But 15 brand new (and utterly awesome) ones.

OutRun2 Xb JP does not contain anything new from SP.

SP owns. Direct vids soon. ;-)

Yeah, Scud Race and Daytona 2 tracks are in the US version

upon looking extremely closely to some of the pics in that mb artcle, it appears sumo has added in a few of the animations that were initially gone in the regular EU/US version. Take a look at the aztec level...THE TORCHES ARE LIGHT!!!!!!...unlike the US rev.
