Why is the GC version of Gundam so so poor compared to the PS2 version??

I don't get. Sega's football management sim Sakatsuku sells well, Winning Eleven sells well, but Konami's football management sim Winning Eleven Tactics doesn't do well at all. Is it a bad game? They even changed the clubs from J-League clubs to European ones.

Userbase would be my guess. Look at the percentages though, they are comparible.

Userbase, most likely fans of the series are overwhelmingly on PS2 since it also got Federation Vs Zion DX. Also, the PS2 version has online play (the GC version has 4 player split screen instead).

Yeah, but if the PS2 version wil sell around 200k again this week, I'd have thought 50-60k would have at least been possible on the cube.

Hope Super Robot Wars can break 100k next wee....

Well considering they only shipped a bit over 20k, 50-60k is a bit out of reach, heh. The previous GC-only Gundam title underperformed unfortunately so it's not much of a surprise (typical PS2 Gundam title does 500k+).

The fact that it is selling poorly is no surprise. It sucked royally at the Touch! event. What shocks me is that stores bought 100,000 copies to line their shelves :lol

I'd like to play it some more before I completely discount it, but from the five or so minutes I spent with it at Touch! DS a few weeks back, I thought it was pretty damn boring.

Damn, Yoshi deserves to sell more it looks great, decent numbers for Rockman, usually it is a game that rocks the Xmas in Japan, and now it is only one version, this time between this and Team of Colonel they will surpass the million copies

Gundam is not selling well on Gamecube not because the userbase, look at the laughable shipment number, just 20,000 how do they expect to sell a lot with these numbers

Sadly bye bye for the DS games, although these are just new releases if you look for the daily sales (which includes old games) it is flooded with the new releases and DQ VIII hanging in 4th place
