[Japan] UMD cases from Hori!

I know the US already has a couple of their own UMD cases, but for the folks here in Japan, Hori just released the UMD cases for the PSP! They are 315 yen for 2 cases.

It's about time...

Damn, those are very nice. I hope they bring them here, too.

I thought the thread was going to be about the smaller DVD-style cases, I hope someone starts making replacements for them as well, because I've already got on PSP game with two EB stickers that I can't remove on them.

Are there any DS cases yet? I can put a few in an oldschool Game Boy cartridge case, but that's a bit of a suboptimal solution. I looked through a few online import stores yesterday and didn't see anything; strikes me as just a little strange that there seems to be 0 DS cases but PSP cases from multiple manufacturers already.

Play-Asia is your friend.

I'm not too hot for the flap tops like the old Gameboy cases...but it works I guess.

Yeah, they look like teeth retainer cases, but I guess you wouldn't risk the UMD accidentally sliding off the case. How strong of a grip do the Hori ones have?

The Ugame ones kick buttox. The flip top ensures they're sealed and you won't be getting any dust or shit into your (stupidly exposed) UMDs.

That's what I need. Shit, I need some sort of game carrier, I don't like throwing the cases in my bag when I take the PSP somewhere.

They hold pretty well. I can't guarantee if it will stay that way after taking it off a hundred times, but I prefer this MD-esque casing better. I still only have 3 games and I only take 1 right now (Mojipittan) so I dont think I'll be taking them out constantly.

And too late for my Ridge Racers...its already got like dust inside the UMD and can't take it off since it's on the cover side (opposite of the open slot)...ah well.

Does it really have "PSP 4 Disc" written on it? :lol

Otherwise I'd have been interested in those.

Yeah, the writing is a shame but it's by far the most practical case that I've found. Has grooves so it can hold less than 4 without them rattling around as well.

DS carts really don't need to be covered at all though, unless of course you carry them around in a pocket with corrosive acid.

I'm using those from the Pelican PSP starter kit. They work fine although they were made from cheap-ass plastics and in fugly colors...

Agreed. I was using an MD case for carrying stuff around in my bag, but it wasn't sealed so I've got dust in my UMDs now. Great.

I just use a CD Jewel case. If you snap out the center grey bit (just leaving the spine part of the inlay), you can fit two UMDs inside nicely.

Yeah, but they're so small it's easy to lose them - that's why I'd quite like a carrying solution for them.
