I'd safely say that Pikmin 2 has just passed the 400k mark. It might even crawl passed the 500k mark, certainly shown more legs than I thought it would.

Sega's gotta be happy. Almost a 50k unit increase over the previous games first week sales.

It's not the first week, just Gamefront being weird. This is its 3rd week on the chart. Game Science has up estimates for the totals of Goemon and Pikmin 2:

It's pretty amazing how Pikmin 2 has just continued to sell after debuting to 160k back in late April. I think it has a legitimate chance of coming close to tripling its first week sales which is nay unheard of there.

I luff the Pikmin. I wonder if they are going to release another song or flower to commemorate and help sell the concept/game. Donga Konga 2 has gotten my excitement up for the game by 1 notch.. making it currently 1 notch. Hmmm.. peripherals.. I don't need another piece of plastic.

And I never understood why japanese people will be that into soccer. ODD.

Good mix of titles are selling well.

I agree, especially considering those GC Double Packs that are coming out in Japan soon. Good, good stuff for Pikmin 2.

Games like Pikmin start slow and keep rolling. There's definitely a word-of-mouth thing there, because the last one hit some kind of vein of mainstream popularity with the commercial. Pikmin, like Donkey Konga and Pokemon, just keep rollin' along. They defy the "huge first week, then plummet" norm.
