As far as I can tell, this is not a video that will be displayed in public, just something first done internally at MS Japan and then available in the Xbox.jp site. I agree that the lack of JP games in the video is disturbing to say the least, but then I don't think it's the main point there. What the point is, I don't know
The "image" video from the US was quite... interesting too. I wish I had it somewhere to put online.
Edit: According to a friend in Japan, this was first shown at the Xbox Summit a few weeks ago.

I think MS should move in this direction for their pre-launch TV commercials. Picture this:

a multi-story cyndrilical room (360!) with floors and floors of pre-rendered game characters that no one recognizes, then have the camera pan down to the generic white console in the middle of the center of the floor and whisper, "it's THINKING," just to freak the hell out of any casual gamers still paying attention.

Yeah, I don't think we can really pick on them too much. We should all know by now that videogame commercials being horrible (especially Nintendo's commercials) are par for the course.
