Back in 2007, the folks behind Not Another High School Movie created the pilot for Not Another High School Show. As you can probably guess, the show was a spoof of all the tween TV series we love, starring Alison Brie and Jennifer Lawrence. Now, the first-ever footage from the parody series is out. It's not great.
The pilot was filmed but it never got picked up, for pretty obvious reasons. You kind of have to see it to believe it. Just watch.
We have to hand it to Brie, she is committing to this Sarah Michelle Gellar character hard. Her deliver is spot-on Buffy. Alas, it's not her fault the pubic hair jokes just aren't funny. However I would watch an entire episode of an even more self aware version of this show, specifically if it was created in the exceptionally meta world inside Community.
And YES that is the very, very talented H. Jon Benjamin playing the janitor.

As you might have guessed, Not Another High School Show is related to Not Another Teen Movie, one of the best spoof films of the 2000s, which is a bit like saying portobello is the least awful mushroom, but still. (Note: I hate mushrooms.) According to Splitsider, as part of their wonderful Lost Roles series, “Not Another Teen Movie writer Mike Bender developed this TV version of the movie for Comedy Central, with the emphasis being on spoofing TV teen dramas like The O.C., Dawson’s Creek, and Buffy the Vampire Slayer.” The network passed on it, and Nick Swardson’s Gay Robot, in favor of Dan Harmon’s The Sarah Silverman Program, The Naked Trucker and T-Bones Show, and Freak Show, but the pilot can be viewed on iTunes (via F*ck Yeah Alison Brie).
Brie played Muffy, a parody of Sarah Michelle Gellar’s titular character from Buffy the Vampire Slayer, though a slightly more sexual Buffy, with short skirts and tight leopard print shirts. Here’s a not-at-all-embarrassing still:
