I'm beginning to sound like a broken record, but I'd like to see everyone involved with making Hollywood trailers fired and never hired back again.

Escaping the fucking annoying trailer drum beat, and *pause in silence for effect* editing cuts to said drum beats, the scenes looked pretty good. He's been working hard on his Jimmy Stewart accent.

Didn't see Hitchcock in there, I'm guessing he's going to be in the movie somewhere. Be great to see the dynamic between those two captured.

"Look out this Window Jimmy and see MURDER!, also your legs are broken" "JIMMY you are very dizzy, MURDER!" Jimmy you know a lot and that could mean MURDER!" "JIMMY there is a long intertwined line here with MURDER!"

I feel like Stewart has such a distinctive and well known voice that trying to replicate it can come off as an impression for a comedy sketch rather than a portrayal for a biopic. But you can't play the role and not do the voice. I'll probably check it out. Smart timing to release this around the time a lot of people are rewatching It's A Wonderful Life.

Well you can't bring that up with out linking to this

Would be interesting to find out more about James Stewart's time as a WW2 bomber pilot. He flew 20 combat missions over Germany. I don't think there are many Hollywood actors who risked their lives like that.

including Scotty James Doohan.. (And if we're talking sports Ted Williams as a fighter pilot.)

What kind of accent does Stewart have? I've always just assumed it was a theatrical affectation that he used, not that he sounded like that all the time.

Anyway, the list of actors (and politicians, teachers, farmers, lawyers, and everything) who survived extreme mortal peril through WW2 is veeeeery long. Greatest Generation was an earned label for sure.

And despite 20 years of war (for americans at least) the total number of troops involved is tiny compared to WW2.
