DarienA said:OMG a FotNS game?!?!??! I need details!!!! Man I have one that came out on the PSOne... story is pretty much ripped straight from the book, can't remember what that one is called... fun though. I like when you have to activate the special attacks by inputing the direction and button combinations as quick as possible to defeat the bosses....

The box is probably better than the game :lolSpeevy said:It's a cool box, but it looks like "Fun with Crayons!"

New Wizardry?
FnordChan said:Yes, but it's a Fist of the North Star pachinko game, which makes all the difference. The only thing better is going down to your local pachinko parlor and doing Kenshiroesque "Watatatatatatata!" yells while pouring your cash into the machines. This was also the best thing about playing Fighting Mania; if you werent wa-ta-taing, you weren't playing it correctly.
FnordChan wa shock
DarienA said::lol That reminds me a bit back I wandered in to an arcade and there was a punch pad fist of the north star game... there were two columns of punch pads either 3 or 4 on each. In the rest position they were back against the sides of the cabinet but during the active phase they would swing forward and light up... you had to time hitting them right as they lit up to hit the enemy you were fighting... and to finish him off you had to just go crazy hitting them. Tiring... but pretty damn fun.
FnordChan said:Yep, that's Fighting Mania.

I'd heard of Fighting Mania, but it wasn't until I saw it in the arcade that I realized it had a Hokuto no Ken/Fist of the North Star theme. Cue me diving for the change machine and dumping in quarters for the next half-hour. During the regular "hit the pads some" phase of the game I'd go "Wa-ta! Wa-ta!" periodically, which led folks to believe I was doing some strange Bruce Lee impersonation. Then when the boss round "hit the pads a helluva lot" phase arrived, I went into full on Kenshiro "WHATATATATATATATATATA!" phase, which caused people to actively back away from the machine. I would occasionally yell "You're already dead!", which didn't help matters.
God, I love Fighting Mania.

Thankyou! I'm going to keep an eye out for this.Bebpo said:Tsukiyo ni Saraba
It's an action game with several playable characters including a bruce lee ripoff who fights with kung-fu. The game is being directed by the creator of Suikoden and the music is 50% Yasunori Mitsuda.
Comes out 2/24 in Japan.
