Jump Ship (Sea of Thieves x FTL x L4D) reveal trailer...

Looks fuckin sick.

Looks interesting definitely going to keep an eye on it. One of my biggest problems with Destiny was never being able to actually fly the ship yourself.

It looks like it has potential. I like games where you just choose missions and go on co-op runs. Much like L4D, or Warframe, or more recently HD2, Lethal Company, and Granblue.

Got a feeling this game won't work as intended. Could be a jank-fest or the mission variety too low, or the netcode falling apart. Guess we shall see.

Looks promising, might kind of bland gameplay but who know in the future. Also the design is kind of fine. Might try it later on

Shooting looks kinda meh in this, it looks ok otherwise. Will depend on what kind of objectives there are and whether upgrading ships is a fully fledged system or not.

Looks unique enough.

But like all games relying on procedural gameplay. How quickly does the seams start to show and it becomes repetitive.

This footage was recorded in March 2024 in preparation for our Gameplay Explainer video. The whole session was longer than 10 minutes. We edited it down and cut between the different players' perspective to show you what a destination would look like when playing four players. Please enjoy

Imagine a game where negative outcomes are a legitimate threat and you can't just reload 30 seconds prior.. This looks phenomenal.

Jump Ship is a mission-based co-op FPS for up to 4 players, where you are the crew of a spaceship. Transition seamlessly from crewing the ship to on-foot exploration and spacewalks. Engage in intense battles both on the ground and in space, and always keep your ship upgraded and intact. Teamwork is key for survival and victory.

We love co-op games, and we love space! Jump Ship is our attempt to make both work together.

Game concept has real potential. The loop looks compelling enough. Dicking about on ship/Anthem-ing around/maintaining and upgrading the ship and the player's gear/attacking and extracting/jumping to another sector...

Having 3 other people available to play with is always going to be a problem, as is managing progression when you jump between different squads. Launching into Game Pass would help a lot.
Progression/goals will be key - what's the motivation to keep playing? Tricking out the ship and taking on harder content needs to be lot slower progress-wise than Helldivers where it all happened too quickly and became boring.
PvE only is disappointing. It's limiting in a number of ways for obvious reasons but not least of which being vastly reduced potential in deploying MTX for a game that should be aiming to keep earning/engaging.
Not being able to harm/kill your pals like Helldivers would be a big miss, that has to be the default and ideally built-in, not an option to be disabled.
