From GON.nu comes new info and new screens from Avalanch Studios upcoming game Just Cause.

The article is in swedish, as is the developer, and I haven't got the time to translate it, but in short Just Cause is an free-roaming gaming set in Latin American island and your goal is to overthrow the local dictator. It's done by accomplishing different missions on the island.

It sounds a lot like GTA in Latin America, but if it's done right it could be very good.

Edit - As I couldn't search for Just Cause I don't know if this is old news. If it is - please delete.

The game was announced last year, shown at E3, but these screens are new.

I played it for a while yesterday and it's solid when it comes to gameplay. A large game world (32 x 32 km) and 100 vehicles (incl. submarine, fighters, yachts, cars, buses tanks, etc). Graphics are good on PC (these screens) and Xbox (obviously not on the same level), but PS2 was not shown (it is about a month behind in development).

Avalanche Studios (not to be confused with Avalanche Software of 25 to Life fame), consists mainly of old employees from Amuze, Digital Illusions and Starbreeze, but was founded by people from Rock Solid Studios (whose game was never finished as the publisher went bankrupt). So there's a lot of experience, eventhough it's the first game from the studio.

You work at GON or some other swedish site Benke? Sounds like a promising game and I anticipate more previews after the summer.
