It's my birthday, and my lady bought me a DS. I haven't had a Gameboy in any incarnation since the old monochrome joints, so I don't really know too much about what's good & what isn't, besides the Zeldas and Marios and whatnot. Would you mind recommending some good, off-the-beaten path GBA games? Much appreciated!

They did make a Gradius GBA game, but I can't remember if it was any good or not.

Get Castlevania: Aria Of Sorrow. Astroboy is great if you want a good action game.

Go get Feel the Magic. I didnt really want a mini-game fest so I skipped it, but later picked it up because I got everything in mario 64.. and the game is one of my favorites from last year.

Congrats on the DS get! I love the system, though Nintendo's left me wanting for quality DS titles. In the meantime, Minish Cap is the killer app to get! Hahahah.

Well, I comfort myself by telling myself that at least the DS makes for a better GBA than even the SP was, graphics and sound-wise.

I recommend Zelda Minish Cap. That game is channels LTTP so well and it does it with grace and a freshness to it that doesnt make it feel like a rip off.
