A Benq 16x DVD+/-RW.

What is good software to make my OWN DVDs out of video files? I want to turn some of my anime and random junk into stuff I can view on my DVD player.

Secondly, for DVD video, what can the PS2 and Xbox detect for media? (NOTE I MEAN FOR DVD MOVIES, NOTHING TO DO WITH GAMES). And I mean DVD+R, DVD-R, etc etc.

Thanks people!

I second this question. I'll be getting my burner tomorrow, although I still need to buy some DVD-Rs. I'm wondering if it'd be possible to put some of the animes I got that have multiple language tracks and subtitles in an ogg format onto DVD.

I use some Memorex 4x DVD -R's, and they work wonderfully in my Xbox.

KHypermedia DVD +R discs works very well also.

I've never had any problems playing DVD-R, DVD+R and DVD-RW on my 50000 model PS2.

Oh, and I have a question, too. What's the best program for ripping DVDs to Divx?

You can rip a DVD with DVD Decryptor/DVDShrink, and then rip that right to Divx. Off the top of my head, it's the only solution I can think of.

How about making a DVD movie using avi files? I need to free up HDD space, and I'd like to do it with some style :)
