So New Zealand was supposed to get a demo of the new build of HALO2 at the Armageddon Convention in Wellington today, bummer that "it didn't arrive in time" and we got the E3 build. Pretty short turn on it considering the hoops I had to go through to get to play (push over about 3 13 year olds and answer general knowledge xbox games questions for a ticket) Then they gave us a slayer match on zanzibar (boo slayer)
The spawn point for both teams was the beach, so most of the 5 minutes I played was just spawn and shoot, until i jumped on a ghost and boosted away. The main thing I got to do was find out how cool the battle rifle is. It's pretty much the pistol from halo 1 in scope mode and I got most of my kills that way. and boost running over people, which actually doesn't seem to kill them outright now either.
Fun stuff. First New Zealander to get to play it, woohoo or something.
Also, I hate comic type conventions, bunch of weird smelly people.
