Smith led the cast of Lurhmanns stylish The Get Down, which followed a group of teens in 1970s Bronx. He played Ezekiel on the Netflix show. The actor also appeared in Paper Towns, Fox 2000s adaptation of a John Green YA novel that starred Nat Wolff and Cara Delevingne. Before Smith heads off for the Jurassic follow-up, he will star opposite Lucas Hedges in the off-Broadway play Yen, which is set to begin previews on Jan. 12 and open Jan. 30.
Variety reports he's playing a young scientist.
He will be joining Chris Pratt, and Bryce Dallas Howard. B.D. Wong is expected to return, and credible rumors suggest Jeff Goldblum will as well. Rafe Spall and Toby Jones are also joining the cast of the sequel, which is being directed by J.A. Bayona.
