"West also says his hit song "Gold Digger" was the best song last year and that it should have been nominated for the Grammy's best rap song category: "That's a gimme Grammy."

kanye.jpg

I cannot stand people this arrogant. Now he thinks he's Jesus or something. :/

Hey, what's with the bird's nest on his head? And he looks like he's crying for some reason but the tears seem to be some kind of red-like hue. Odd. And jeez, what's with the towel dress, Kanye? I know you like pushing the envelope, but the fashion police are gonna be all Dick Tracy on you for that one.

The strangest tangent of the Rolling Stone story, however, is when West says he's addicted to pornography. He remembers first seeing his father's Playboy magazine when he was 5 years old.

"Right then," West says, laughing, "it was like, `Houston, we have a problem.'"

Ha

I like they guy for saying rappesr should stop being so homophobic even if it is a little late.

Celebs and their egos.

That tear on Kanye's face; he's weeping for humanity folks. Because they just don't realize how great he truly is.

So wait, when Sony does this, the ad gets banned and when Kanye does it, it's hardcore?

Didn't you know that Rolling Stone is notorious for pushing the boundaries?

Me neither...

The sad thing is that I was actually interested in listening to Kanye's music to see what the hype was all about. But his pretentious, make me a martyr attitude now only makes me want him to shut the fuck up.

Whoa, did Michael Jackson's looks ever stop you from listening to his music? Just cuz he acts a certain way doesnt make his music bad (the cd was one of the best of the year, and that's pretty fucking good for any artist: Having two top albums in their certain category two years running).

"He made Thriller. Thriller baby... thriller :(
Would you allow your kids to sleep in Michael Jackson's bed?
FUCK NAH, HELL NAH." (Chappelle Show haha)

I wouldn't allow my kids to sleep in most adults' beds (basically, only parents/grandparents).

I'm not shallow enough to disregard an artist who's got a fucked up face (jesus, Radiohead's one of my favorite bands and Thom Yorke looks like his mom slapped him for being ugly), but I just can't force myself to listen to Kanye. If I hear his stuff, I might like it, but I will not go out of my way to support the guy. Guess that's just how I am.

I haven't liked him for awhile, and I still don't. Don't worry when the next "big thing" comes he'll be done.

Marks List:
Jamie Foxx
Kanye West

Please leave the industry.

People take him way too seriously. I'm pretty sure he's half joking when being so cocky.

And hey, Gold Digger was one of the best singles of 2005, so whatever.

a rapper/musician is cocky and full of himself? I'VE NEVER HEARD OF SUCH A THING!

seriously, you guys are only feeding into the shit by taking what he says so seriously. He's a rapper, not a politician or the pope. The shit he says is hilarious to me most of the time.

Look at his defenders :lol Don't defend his bullshit. Jamie Foxx is also an arrogant, bigoted fuckbag, he just doesn't speak as loudly.

It's funny though. I don't like the guy or anything, but it says alot about his music that he needs to tell people to give him awards isntead of just letting it happen. It's going to make it that much more amusing when he shows up at the Grammys and gets nothing.

I don't have much of an opinion on Kanye as I don't listen to his music, but that cover is grand if only for the rioting that's going to ensue when that hits stands.

Whatever. You republicans are such whiny, defensive, vindictive little people.

Whoa dumb post!

Anyway, Kanye is just as off-base as every other outspoken celebrity trying to do their best Michael Moore immitation for publicity. He, like most other celebrities, have a right to criticize Bush and any other politician, but they do so without any concept of the state of politics. Its like a Paris Hilton trying to teach a Calculus class because of who she is. Oh, and the Kanye Jesus thing may be the dumbest thing I've ever seen. Its not "cutting-edge" or anything, its just dumb and out of place. A dumb/arrogant magazine interviewing a dumb/arrogant man, yawn.

I would hope that Kanye' 15 minutes are up soon as he is being put on a pedastal as the protoype rapper/producer, but everytime he opens his mouth, bullshit flies out. But look at R&B/Hip-hop fans, they still go out and buy the shit out of R. Kelly CDs.

It is an interesting dynamic that a Black artist can probably get on the radio and say all White and Asian people should be rounded up and killed but still sell 2 million copies, yet if a White artist did the same thing, they would be lucky to go double plastic. Not sure what that says about society. Does that mean that people think Black people are idiots anyway so they get a free pass? Is hatred/ignorance something expected because of the history of Black people in America? I don't know.

its not a white/black thing, its our celebrity culture. People love celebrities regardless of what they do or say in their free time and are willing to forgive and forget over and over again as long as that person keeps doing what made them famous in the first place (in the case of Kanye, making music people like to listen to)

:lol No. That artist would be dropped from their label instantly. Gangster/pimp image is in, militant pro-black is not, otherwise Dead Prez would be selling more than 50 Cent.

Yeah, "dumb post," because the original poster would TOTALLY give a shit about Kayne even if he had never criticized President Bush. Oh yeah, most definitely. Especially when looking at the original poster's history. Whatever.

So, anyway, you object to Kayne criticizing Bush because he "doesn't have any concept of the state of politics?" How do you know he doesn't just disagree with your sorry ass?

:lol I had actually forgot about Kanye's comments about the President. Thats hilarious though that you're such a hardcore liberal nutbag that you would immediatley think of such a thing. You obviously haven't seen a lot of my posts because i've ripped into the president on many occasions on this very board. The problem with people like you is that you see someone give an opinion that sounds conservative and you immediatley assume that the person is a hardcore republican. Grow up.

Because if he says dumbass things all the time on national tv/interviews when he has a chance to BE HEARD, why should I assume who/what he believes in reality is any more accurate? For the record, I dislike Bush, but I don't look at issues like this as "Repubs/demos" etc etc. I thought your post to be dumb based on the fact it generalized an entire party based on one persons post.

So yeah, its not about Bush, its about people having half-brained ideas of politics. Using a celebrity (like many I know) to help them in their politic ideals is a bad road to follow. Hell, most libs/conservs I know can't say one nice thing about the other party. That in itself prooves ignorance in the field of politics.

For those of you worried that Kanye's exploits will incite some sort of pro-black movement, don't fret; most black people don't even listen to his shit.

Wait, so now you're a republican if you think Kanye is a fuckhead? I was under the impression that the entire television watching US recognized his Katrina tirade as a collossal trainwreck of common sense. During a fucking telethon asking for donations! If this is considered democratic then yeah, count me in as a fucking republican.

I've heard that before. I've heard he doesn't have much street cred or something. I guess he grew up in a pretty wealthy family. I've actually thought on a few occasions that he says crazy things to try and gain some sort of street cred with the black community. Sort of like him trying to "stick it to the man". Hey peeps! Look at me! I'm saying crazy stuff and i'm like, keeping it realz and stuff. Yo! Buy my album my peoples! :lol
