just checked it out... the best thing i can say about it is thats it is interesting.
but its really just mediocre at best, imo. theres nothing that stands out. its a little ambient and moody, but also disjointed, very bizarrely mixed and just sub par writing. i mean, honestly the writing feels non existent. it feels like a frankenstein mix match of dark synths, pads, auto tuning and half assed, weird sounding beats.
beyond being peculiar sounding and somewhat original (to be fair, its easy to say something is original when its so ethereal), i dont really see anything about this that i would consider "good"
if the masses love it, i will have no idea why.

Kind of low energy, production is all over the place. Writing isn’t standing out. It’s trying to cling to the gospel message but with more than one foot out of the door back to conventional material, which gets awkward.

I actually love that about his post-MBDTF era album covers, considering those were considerably more curated.
They're mostly distinctive in their own right and serve as a sort of punctuation between creative directions. I love how many creative edits they've led to within online communities as well.
The Yeezus "cover" is iconic in its own right with that jewel case & red sticker, immediately recognizable imo
Both TLOP and Ye had serious meme energy which contributed to their iconography.
It's a nice visual cue to that more erratic creative approach from his most recent projects, especially in the post-social media world. I can understand why it would turn some people off though haha.

First listen through, and I'm really enjoying this album. I don't think there are many standouts, but as a whole, it has such a spacey vibe.

Anyway, I think the album is a mixed bag with the first 10 songs being the type of sound I wanted Kanye West to get away from, while the second half is reminiscent of his Gospel vibe of his recent outing.
I'm not entirely digging it, but i'll give it a another listen during a workout and see if that changes.
I just want Graduation Kanye beats, man. I'm tired of this overproduced beats.

Fantastic album, lots of great songs and very creative with its production. His best work since Pablo, very similar in how chaotic it is too.

You aren't getting your favorite era of Kanye back. He's an artist, he's not controlled by anyone creatively, and that's a beautiful thing.

I love it. I went in with very low expectations but I think it's great. So many great tunes. Standouts for me after multiple listens are Jail, Off the Grid, Hurricane, Believe What I Say, Remote Control, Keep My Spirt Alive, Jesus Lord Pt 1/2, and Come to Life.

Here is my recommended playlist for this album. Cut out some of what I consider filler and changed up the order a bit

It's a phenomenal album and shows just how prolific Kanye still is after 20+ years at the top.
Just wish a few filler tracks were cut and the track listing was a bit more concise. For example it's one of the biggest travesties to not have the amazing 'Come To Life' not be the closing track on the album.
All in all though it's a strong 8.5/10 for me and one of the best Albums to come out this year, also one of the greatest rollouts of all time.
