British viral marketer James Shamsi announced the app, called #KardBlock, this week. In an interview with The Daily Beast, 21-year-old Shamsi said that he created the app, which filters any mention of Kim, Kanye, Kris, Kendall, Khloe, Kourtney and Kylie from the user’s news feed, because he was tired of being bombarded by Kardashian/Jenner news.

“Basically, what was happening was that there were Kardashians everywhere, and I wanted to do something about that,” he said. “But for me, when I follow pages, I am not doing it to get a constant stream of updates on the Kardashians.

You probably have to re-asses your priorities if "Kardashians being mentioned too much" is your kryptonite.

I don't think avoiding annoying celebs is as hard as people make it out to be. About the only time it creeps up for me is people complaining about annoying celebs.

First stop would probably be to not visit websites called things like "entertainmentwise" that are clearly oriented around star gossip.

There is an extension for gaf that lets you do that to anything you're tired of hearing about.

It was godlike during and after E3 when all those shenmue threads started to pop up.

I'd love something to block Bloodborne/Dark Souls/fallout

Then half of gaming side would be empty

Yeah, this has pretty much been my experience as well. Sounds like more of an issue on the type of pages the person is following

This has been done for trump and many others in the past, no Nobel prize deserved

Nobel prizes were given for discovering elementary particles like cosmic neutrinos (2002). There was also one given two years ago for the discovery of the Higgs boson.

Blocking the kardashains is like the higgs.
