Karen personality

Why do Karen personalities love complaining and causing problems with other people nonstop? Their whole life revolves around being not only being stressed out but also stressing other people out. They also seem to enjoy trying to get people in trouble, getting in everyone's business, starting fights, etc. and don't seem to understand that their personalities are unbearable.

I don't agree with this comment, I want to speak to a manager of the forum. Do you know who I am? Where's the manager!

“Aww, it’s so...average,” she said to him in a cold brick of passion
Because immature adults feel the need to bitch to others about their perceived wrongs.

I have no idea what causes it. Everytime one of these situations happens where it's some jackass at a restaurant or a park or something I just put myself into the situation and I just walk away usually. Maybe I make a smartass remark, but I sure as shit am not gonna sit there and just complain to stangers about another stranger doing me wrong.

Many “Whelps”! Handle It!
A pre-published study into the phenomenon of Karen's found that 100% of subjects had abnormally large bungholes.

Blame shifting and gaslighting is nothing I haven't seen before. It is a choice to defend ones bad behavior versus owning up to it and getting treatment.

Ive lived with someone with NPD and they refuse to accept responsibility for their actions and nothing, nothing is ever their fault. I've seen it and heard it all before. Excuses, blameshifting, gaslighting and hypercriticism is all they're capable of.

I've lived with someone that has is too, these are all things they did that I only learned about is be NPD afterwards. The space time continuum reality bending logic they use to be right when evidence and witnesses show they are wrong is truly something else.

"love complaining and causing problems with other people nonstop? Their whole life revolves around being not only being stressed out but also stressing other people out."

I think you've just described every woman in existence there.

"Karen" started off as a useful way to quickly shame people who verbally abuse / speak rudely to service workers. But now "Karen" is used for anyone who speaks up about anything wrong in day-to-day life.

"Complaining that your scheduled takeout order is 15 minutes late? KAREN!"
"Complaining that your neighbours are playing loud music at 3am? KAREN!"
"Complaining that there's a spill in the entrance that someone should be made aware of? KAREN!"

There are legitimate reasons why people should complain to service providers, businesses, managers, etc... "Karen" has evolved into this catch-all term where anyone complaining about anything is "punching down", "entitled", etc. It's ridiculous and now being used as a defense by actual assholes / lazy fucks who are breaching basic social principles and who deserve to be told off.

And before you call me a Karen (you smartass) I started my career in retail and I've dealt with rude as fuck customers: the original "Karen" concept. Those people are assholes and deserve to be shamed. But 90% of "Karens" these days are just normal citizens who are trying to deal with actually entitled people who give zero fucks about their job or the people around them. It's annoying and counterproductive and I'm ready for this overused term to fall out of the modern lexicon.

From what I've seen, it isn't used just because someone is complaining. It's usually used because someone is making demands over things that are out of the control of a barista, management or they're calling the cops on someone who isn't breaking a law. Those people are the ones we all should call "Karens" ...

And Karen is a common name, hence why it caught on.

I dunno but I am wondering why it feels like they've taken over the Western side of game development and journalism.

Nothing bothers me more than people who just lose their cool with restaurant staff over almost nothing.
And you can also politely be a Karen and it's almost worse
Example
My old bass player and his wife are ike this.. we go to Texas Roadhouse , they bring her a plain sweet potato
she explains to the waitress very politely that she requested Marshmallow..
the waitress apologizes profusely and offers up 3 ways she can resolve this
1. Have them make her an entire new sweet pototo
2. Just bring her some melted Mashmallow
3. Reduce the bill

His wife says "Oh don't worry about it .. it's fine".. and the waitress pleads that it's perfectly fine to fix it and is she sure?
yes!

Manager does the check later, how is everything folks
There was no marshmallow on my sweet potato!

Manager gets the waitress and starts to talk at her about this..

There were not angry faces or raised voices.. but it just made me boil inside, I've never been able to respect them since.

I remember the first time I saw a real karen in the wild. Fun to watch, but not something i’d ever want to have to put up with myself.
